▪ Investigated optimal sensor-garment integration and machine-learning-based body movement recognition methods using  textile-friendly stretch sensors, for the development of ergonomic wearable systems (including mobility-assistive soft exoskeletons), through subject recruitment, data collection and analysis, and garment prototyping

▪ Designed, constructed, and user-tested active compression garment prototypes utilizing nickel-titanium (Nitinol) SMA coils, developed for haptic communications and for deep pressure therapy treatment of anxiety and autism spectrum disorders
